Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data I collect on bizflowpartners.com and on the Find the Stuck app at findthestuck.com, why I collect it, who else handles it, how long I keep it, and what rights you have. I have tried to keep it plain.
Who I am
I am Carmen Katz, trading as BizFlow Partners, based in Lisbon, Portugal. I decide how and why your data is used, which makes me the data controller. You can reach me at carmen@bizflowpartners.com.
What I collect and why
| Where | What | Why, and my legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Contact form on bizflowpartners.com | Your name, email, business or website (optional), what you are after, and the message you write. | To reply to you and talk about working together. Legal basis: steps you ask for before a possible contract, and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries. |
| Newsletter box on bizflowpartners.com | Your email address, the fact that you ticked the consent box, and the time you confirmed. | To send you the Find the Stuck newsletter. Legal basis: your consent. You are only added to my list after you click the link in the confirmation email. |
| Paid app waitlist on bizflowpartners.com | Your email address, the fact that you ticked the consent box, and the time you confirmed. | To email you when the Find the Stuck paid app opens. Legal basis: your consent. You are only added to the waitlist after you click the link in the confirmation email. |
| Email box on findthestuck.com | Your email address and your newsletter tick. | To send you your result and the Find the Stuck newsletter. Legal basis: your consent. |
| Both sites | Technical details such as your IP address and browser, plus a hidden spam check and a timer on the forms. | To keep the sites running and to block spam and bots. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in keeping the sites secure. |
I do not sell your data. I do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies on bizflowpartners.com. The site saves one small note in your browser (not a cookie) to remember that you closed a pop-up, so it does not show it again.
Who else handles your data
I use a few trusted services to run the sites. They process data on my behalf.
- Hostinger hosts bizflowpartners.com and its email. Servers are in the EU or UK.
- Brevo (France) delivers the confirmation and newsletter emails, stores the newsletter list, and delivers the contact form to me.
- Google provides my Workspace email, where your messages to me arrive. The site also loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google can see your IP address when a page loads.
- Cloudflare Turnstile is the spam check on findthestuck.com.
- The hosting service for findthestuck.com serves that app.
Some of these companies may handle data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on safeguards approved under data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
- Contact enquiries: up to 24 months after our last message, unless we start working together, in which case I keep what the work needs.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that I keep only your address on a do-not-email list, so I do not email you by mistake.
- Waitlist: until the paid app opens and I have emailed you about it, or until you unsubscribe, whichever is first. After that I keep only your address on a do-not-email list.
- Unconfirmed sign-ups: your address is not added to my lists unless you click the confirmation link. The link stops working after 72 hours.
- Technical logs: kept by the hosting providers for a short, routine period.
Unsubscribing and your rights
Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link. One click removes you from the list. You can also email me and I will do it for you.
Under the GDPR you also have the right to:
- ask what data I hold about you and get a copy,
- have wrong data corrected,
- have your data deleted,
- object to or limit how I use it,
- take your data to another service,
- withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect anything done before you withdrew.
To use any of these, email carmen@bizflowpartners.com. I will answer within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt), or to the authority in your own country.
Children
These sites are for people running or working in businesses. They are not meant for anyone under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If I change what I do with your data, I will update this page and the date at the top.
